South Dakota's Northern State University has posted an employment opportunity for Dean, School of Education.

The successful candidate will possess: (1) an earned doctorate in education or a related field with K-12 experience; (2) a record of outstanding teaching and research; (3) at least two years of successful administrative experience with budget and personnel responsibility as a dean, associate dean, chair, or K-12 senior administrator; (4) a thorough understanding of the accreditation process; (5) a commitment to diversity and equity; (6) a demonstrated focus on consensus building, collaborative leadership, collegiality, and integrity; (7) evidence of initiatives that enhance both off-campus and on-campus enrollment; (8) experience in collaborative work with local school districts and other constituents; and (9) successful experience with curriculum management, academic assessment, and accreditation.
