Rural Education Working Group 2007
The 2007 Rural Education Working Group (REWG) meeting, held in North Charleston, South Carolina in April, brought together almost 100 people from 18 states. These advocates shared their successes, experiences, and challenges. They worked together in small group sessions on topics of particular interest to rural schools, and they examined emerging economic trends and rhetoric and the implications for local rural schools. All with a good dose of celebration, laughter, singing, and a trip to Johns Island, South Carolina.
