Student Literacy Blossoms at Rural Schools' Summer Learning Labs

Last Updated: September 10, 2015

Funding for these summer labs is made possible by a Literacy Innovation in Rural Education through Collaboration (LIREC) grant, a two-year, $4.6-million grant between the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE), the Institute for Educational Leadership and the Rural School and Community Trust. The summer labs provide students with a safe space to read and write and enable teachers to collaborate with one another and try new literacy strategies.
