The grant deadline of November 16th for the Conco Community Arts Program grants and the Student Conservation Grants Program (sponsored by the Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation and our Stewardship Ozarks Initiative) is rapidly approaching. These are wonderful opportunities for your students and teachers.
The grant application process is simple, and there is no reason not to apply for this funding. Please ALERT appropriate teachers and student groups. Go to for application information.

Opportunities From Rural School And Community Trust
Dr. Doris Williams of the Rural School and Community Trust has provided us with information on a number of outstanding grant opportunities for teachers and schools. These are competitive programs, but I would encourage you to check them out and let your colleagues know. You will be receiving a separate email from our Julie Leeth with this information in the near future.

New Funds—New Partners...
Congratulations to the following new partners and funds:
  • Halfway Youth Empowerment Project (receives $500 start-up grant)
  • Malta Bend Youth Empowerment Project (receives $500 start-up grant)
  • Sherwood-Cass Youth Empowerment Project (receives $500 start-up grant)
  • Kinkead Scholarship Fund; a $16,500 fund for the Warsaw schools and Benton County Community Foundation—Congrats!
